ROL RECAP - June at ROL Academy

June was a month packed with exciting events and community gatherings at RŌL Academy, catering to both adults and children alike. Here’s a recap of the action-packed month:

Kicking off the month on June 1st, RŌL Academy hosted a highly successful free women's self-defense class. Open to women ages 14 and up, the turnout exceeded expectations, and all donations from the event were dedicated to supporting ANEW, a commendable organization aiding women in need.

On June 15th, members were treated to a special workshop as a gesture of appreciation. Led by our esteemed Professor Thomas, the workshop was a great opportunity for skill enhancement and camaraderie filled with Jiu Jitsu and delicious food. Later that day, Coach Scott conducted a competition workshop for the kids gearing up for July competitions, ensuring they were well-prepared and confident.

June 22nd saw another fantastic event for our young members: the 'Bring a Friend to Jiu Jitsu' day, which was met with enthusiasm and participation from the community. It was a fun-filled day where friendships were strengthened through the art of Jiu Jitsu.

A highlight of the month occurred on June 29th when we welcomed a distinguished guest, Rob Miller, for a detailed seminar. His expertise left a lasting impression, and he was honored by having his name added to the prestigious RŌL Academy Wall of Black Belts.

Closing out the month on June 30th, Instructor Dan Bianchi led a successful MVP Veterans Grappling Workout, marking a fitting end to an eventful June.

Despite being one of our busiest months, the energy and sense of community that permeated each event made every moment worthwhile. June at RŌL Academy was not just about training and seminars; it was a celebration of dedication, camaraderie, and the shared passion for Jiu Jitsu that defines our academy. We look forward to more memorable moments in the months to come!
